Remission Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients in Michigan by advocating for expanded access to treatment, advancing cancer research, and fostering a community around the fight against cancer.
The word remission has a double meaning, highlighting both parts of our mission: remission is the word for the decrease or disappearance of cancer symptoms. It also means to be freed from debt, charge, or financial penalty. We are proud of our community, so much so that it is integral to our identity as an organization.
All proceeds and raised funds either go directly to care institutions in Michigan or to cover the operating costs necessary to maintain Remission Detroit.
Although we initially focused on Metro Detroit, everyone in Michigan is encouraged to take part in the fight against cancer. We currently have chapters in 3 cities in Michigan, being Detroit, Dearborn, and Ann Arbor.
Feel free to email us at info@remissiondetroit.org, or call at (313) 920-1566 with any inquiries. We are happy to help.

As of 2025, Remission Detroit is a 501(c)(3) registered Non Profit Organization (NPO). Donations will be accompanied by a donation receipt for tax purposes upon request.
Remission Detroit was founded in response to the staggering number of cancer patients who struggled to pay for treatment in the Metro Detroit area. This program was later expanded to represent and advocate for all Michigan residents. Remission Detroit was established circa 2023 at the University of Michigan.
